NINFA è una città medievale abbandonata alla fine del XIV secolo. Sopravvivono resti di chiese, di abitazioni, del castello ed il municipio (restaurato), immersi in uno splendido giardino all'inglese, attraversato dall'omonimo fiume Ninfa. Una diga, costruita nel 1200, raccoglie le acque in un romantico laghetto. È circondata da un'oasi avifaunistica di circa 800 ettari, gestita dall'Amministrazione Provinciale di Latina, dalla Fondazione Caetani, dal W.W.F. e dalla LIPU. È popolata da aironi e garzette, oltre ad una miriade di uccelli insettivori e di piccioni selvatici.

NINFA is a medieval town that was abandoned at the end of the fourteenth century. The remains of churches, houses, the castle and the town hall (restored) still survive and are immersed in a splendid English garden, which is crossed by the homonymous river Ninfa, whose sources gush out just up the town. A dam, which was built in 1200, assembles the waters in a romantic pool. It's encircled by an avifaunal oasis of about 800 hectares which is managed by the provincial authority of Latina, the Caetani Foundation, W.W.F. and LIPU. It's populated with herons and egrets besides a multitude of insectivorous birds and rock doves.
